ABOUT US

Rome for the Rescues (aka Claws for Paws), a recognized 501(c)(3), was created in 2008 by concerned animal lovers to raise funds to aid animal welfare organizations in Rome-Floyd County.

Over the years, funds raised by Rome for the Rescues have aided these groups in ways both great and small from low-cost spay and neuter programs to various rescue efforts. Rome for the Rescues has supported Floyd County PAWS (Public Animal Welfare Services) by creating a covered outdoor play area, helping purchase a transport van, and providing state-of-the-art bowls and litter boxes.

Rome for the Rescues Party of the Summer has raised over $185,000 for local organizations. Please check back for details on our next fundraising event.

Volunteer

All of our work is done by volunteers. Rome for the Rescues takes no administrative fees and 100% of all money collected goes directly to our local efforts to help save the lives of neglected, abandoned, and abused animals.

We welcome volunteers who are interested in helping with the next Rome for the Rescues Party of the Summer. There isn't a date set yet, but if you are interested, please fill out the form on the Contact Us page.
